Counselor In Training

Are you a positive role model? Would you like to learn valuable leadership, recreational and life skills? CITs spend two weeks at Rawhide learning equine skills, equine teaching methods and how to lead and mentor children.
CITs apply for the program and must have at least two references. This program will run for two non-consecutive weeks.

Age: 16-17 years of age
Cost: $250.00
Dates: June 11-15 & June 25-29 or July 9-13 & July 23-27

GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
The first week of the CIT program consists of instruction on equine activities and an exam on that subject. If the CIT qualifies, he/she is invited to stay for a second week free of charge. During the second week, the CIT studies camper supervision and relations by working with full time staff for the entire week. Because CITs are campers, they are never put in a supervisory role and never left in charge of campers.

Kids Retreat Counselors -  Rawhide Ranch is seeking responsible adults to serve as counselors for our 2008 Kids Horse Retreat.  Applicants must have some experience with kids in similar programs with kids from the ages of 8 thru 16.  Must be willing to stay at the ranch overnight for the entire 4 nights of the retreat.  Specifically looking for Counselors who can help with crafts, riding lessons, equine studies, recreation/activities, as well as a cook for the retreats.  Applicants should email or fax their interest along with resume or letter of experience.  Applicants must obtain first aid training and have a clean criminal record and pass a drug test.  References are required with application.
