Join us for an evening of espionage,
crime, intrigue and murder.
On the banks of the River Seine in Paris is the Hotel D'Etoile, with a casino named the Casino Fatale. Rumour has it that the casino is connected to the mysterious underworld character 'Mr X'. No one seems to know exactly who the elusive Mr X is, or what he looks like - and there are many people who would love to know. Among those trying to find Mr X are Interpol, the local police, the local organized crime family, and the agents of several countries in which Mr X is believed to operate. Tonight, however, a charity auction is being held at Casino Fatale and it has drawn all sorts to the casino - playboys, starlets, maybe even a jewel thief… Who will you play?

New activity at the ranch…
Geocaching
|
 |
Geocaching is a high tech treasure hunt that gives friends and family a chance to explore our woods and landmarks around Brown County. You and your group will use a handheld GPS unit to lead you to the site of a hidden cache. This cache can be as small as a 35 mm film case or as large as a shoe box.
What is in a cache? A cache usually holds a couple of items. The first is the log book, which tells you who found it before you. Most people will sign the book and leave a little not for those who will find it next. It can also hold different little trinkets. The rule is that if you take something, you have to leave something.
If you are lucky, you will find a travel bug or geo coin. These little items have tracking codes that allow you to sign on the Web and find where they originated. A bug could begin its journey in Rhode Island and end up sitting in California waiting for the next leg of its journey. Keep in mind that once you have found a bug or coin, you are responsible for moving it to the next cache and leaving it behind for those who will find it next.
Rawhide is now renting GPS units for half-day or full-day adventures. Once you have rented your unit (or brought your own) we will give you the coordinates to our own little cache run. This cache will help you to learn how the GPS works and wet your appetite. Once you have a good feel for geocaching, we have coordinates for several of caches throughout the county.

2008
Beginner date
of June 8-12
Intermediate date
July 13-17 or 20-24

The horse retreats are for kids ages 8-16 and are divided into two groups: Beginners are those who have little or no experience with horses and Intermediates are those who have some riding and horsemanship experience. All meals, lodging in the Buck Inn, and daily horse lessons are included.
Our programs offer a fun, safe environment where each child, along with a partner, is responsible for the care of their assigned horse. Kids will learn about nutrition, anatomy, tacking and riding. They will also have the opportunity to make lots of new friends! In addition to horse care and riding, some of our other activities will include hiking, craft-making, water games, campfire sing-alongs and hayrides.
All counselors are First Aid and CPR certified. The cost for the retreat is $475.00 and a deposit of $225.00 is required at time of registration. Upon receipt of deposit, an information packet will be sent with further details. For More information Click Here
